EA Sports FC 27 Just Dropped Its Reveal Trailer.

EA just gave football gamers what they've been waiting on. The official EA Sports FC 27 reveal trailer landed on July 23, and it's kicking off what's shaping up to be one of the biggest news cycles the franchise has had in years.
Let's start with the obvious: Kylian Mbappé is back as the central face of the franchise (Yahoo!) , fronting both the Standard and Ultimate Edition covers (Yahoo!) . It's a role he's held before, and honestly, it's not a surprising pick, but it confirms EA isn't messing with a winning formula for the cover star.

On the gameplay side, the trailer gave fans their first real footage of the game, addressing questions around gameplay and graphics (Yahoo!) . There's a first look at revamped animations, graphical upgrades, and tweaks to the defensive system (OneFootball) . EA is also introducing something they're calling The Grounds, described as a football playground experience within FC 27 (OneFootball) , alongside community-driven gameplay updates (OneFootball) across every mode.

As for when you'll actually get your hands on it, FC 27 is officially launching September 25 (OneFootball) . EA hasn't confirmed everything yet, but insider reports (via Dealabs' billbil-kun) suggest Ultimate Edition owners and eligible EA Play members could get up to eight days of early access (Yahoo!) .

There's also chatter that EA might be doing something unexpected, continuing support for PS4 and Xbox One (Yahoo!) instead of going current-gen only, which would break from what we saw with Madden 27 and UFC 6.

This trailer is really just the opening act. Expect EA to keep rolling out deep dives on Career Mode, Ultimate Team, and Clubs in the weeks ahead as launch day gets closer.
