WWE Clash in Italy 2026: The Naked Truth About What Just Happened in Turin

WWE said ciao to Italy last night, and Italy said grazie right back. But now that the pyro has faded and the crowd at the  Inalpi Arena in Turin has gone home, it's time to strip away the hype and talk about what really went down at WWE Clash in Italy 2026, the very first WWE premium live event ever held on Italian soil.

Five matches. Four championships. One historic night. Let's get into it.

Roman Reigns Is Playing Chess While Everyone Else Plays Checkers

Let's start with the headline. Roman Reigns defeated Jacob Fatu in Tribal Combat to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.  (Netflix Tudum)

The Naked Truth? Roman Reigns is having a career renaissance in 2026 that nobody fully predicted. Whether it is in response to his critics or he is motivated to prove a point, Reigns has been on fire in 2026, delivering some of his finest work between the ropes in years.  (Bleacher Report) This wasn't just a rematch.... it was a statement. The Head of the Table reminded the entire WWE Universe why he still runs the show.

Jacob Fatu isn't done. But right now? The throne belongs to Roman.

Cody Rhodes Is Still That Guy

Cody Rhodes defeated Gunther to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.  (Netflix Tudum) The American Nightmare travelled all the way to Italy and left with the belt still around his waist.... but the finish reportedly landed with a thud for a lot of fans. Rhodes vs. Gunther's finish left something to be desired, and a large portion of fans will be justifiably upset with how it ended.  (Bleacher Report)

Here's the Naked Truth: Cody is champion, yes. But if WWE doesn't give this rivalry a cleaner finish soon, they risk eroding what should be one of the hottest programs on SmackDown. The people deserve better. Gunther deserves better.

Rhea Ripley Is Just Built Different

Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to retain the WWE Women's Championship  (Netflix Tudum) in what was billed as a WrestleMania 42 rematch. Ripley made it look almost effortless. At this point, asking who can stop Rhea Ripley is not a rhetorical question... it's a genuine crisis for the women's division. Jade Cargill is elite, no doubt. But Mami simply has her number.

Brock Lesnar Is Back.... And That's the Talking Point Nobody Can Ignore

Brock Lesnar made a shocking return that dispelled all rumours of his retirement,  (Netflix Tudum) and he backed it up in Turin by defeating Oba Femi. The Beast is back. But here's where The Naked Truth gets uncomfortable...a large portion of fans will be justifiably upset that Lesnar defeated Femi.  (Bleacher Report) Oba Femi has been one of the most exciting young stars WWE has built in recent memory. Putting Lesnar over him, at this stage, raises serious questions about the company's commitment to its future.

We love the spectacle. We question the strategy.

Becky Lynch Survives Sol Ruca...For Now

Becky Lynch defended the Women's Intercontinental Championship against Sol Ruca  (WWE) in what shapes up to be an ongoing rivalry with plenty of unfinished business. The Man held on, but Sol Ruca is not going away quietly. Watch this space.

The Bigger Picture: Italy Delivered, WWE Delivered

This marked WWE's first-ever PPV and live streaming event held in Italy  (Wikipedia)... and by all accounts, the Inalpi Arena crowd showed up and showed out. An eager European crowd was ready for a big night in the ring, and WWE delivered.  (Yahoo Sports)

The Naked Truth about Clash in Italy is this: it was a good show with some great moments and a few frustrating booking choices. Roman Reigns cemented his legacy. Cody Rhodes held on by the skin of his teeth. And Brock Lesnar reminded us that in WWE, the past never truly stays buried.

Italy got its first taste of WWE's biggest stage. Based on last night, it won't be the last.
